Quite a few of my fb-pals know about the dream that I have received on the night of 12 August 2010, where I saw the Bible in front of me and was fully aware of the fact that I should give the following verse to someone – who exactly I do not know.  All I could see/ was aware of, was verse 18 of 2 Corinthians – and could not see in which chapter.

The past 16 years under the new government has seen a lot af changes and most of them not so good, especially the corruption, crime, poor service delivery, arrogance, etc. coming to the fore.  The latest strike of all the government employees is quite disturbing with all of the threats being thrown to each other and it leaves one with a sickening feeling of something bad is about to happen?  How far away is South Africa from total anarchy? Especially if the Police and the Defence Force also wants to join this circus?

I guess there would be a lot of “yes” responses from people who which that it should happen, but believe me in such a situation nobody would be the winner – especially not the minority of white people in this country.   We will then become the same statistic as all the other African countries where there is no more control and stability, where the rebels would walk the streets with guns and kill and rape everyone in front of them.  Everyone would then try to be the main peanut in this country to rule through violence and power.  Remember, it was the low class poor people who started the greatest revolution (French) in history.  The majority of people in South Africa are poor and they are sick and tired of the corruption on national and provincial level.  “Houston, we have a problem…..”

Earlier this week, I heard someone say that it is unfair for God alone to have all the “joy” to wreak His vengence on other people (Heb 10:30 For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” (ESV)

Based on the behavior from people in the streets, comments from newspaper columns and even fb-sites, it is quite evident (and sad) to see how many people would be willing to stand first in line if they were offered the chance to jerk someones throat from his body – and even in such a way that he would die slowly.  We can just think of taxi drivers – especially the one who was responsible now for the death of more than 9 young defenceless children through his arrogance and rebellion against all rules and safety guidelines (With this one I might stand in line as well???)

And our thoughts about it is quite human. Even the law of the Old Testament declared: “ An eye for and eye”; and we would love the opportunity to apply this in our lives still today.  But, the question we should ask ourselves; Is this what the Lord Jesus expects from us?

Now at this point is where the dream comes in again. I know that all of the verse 18’s of 2 Corinthians apply to us at this point in time – especially the one in Chapter 1. I believe this is the “Yes” answer from the Lord on all of our proposed Business Cases that we have submitted for funding.   It is on its way and it would transform the lives of thousands of people in South Africa.  Even the verse in chapter 4 confirms it because we are looking at this from a point of faith and victory!

But now, in chapter 5 (5 also refers to Grace), we find this verse:  2Co 5:18  All of this comes from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

I know this verse applies to the ministry of bringing people to Jesus for the remission of their sins, whereby they will then be reconciled with God.  The death of Jesus Christ has brought this awesome grace from God for us who did not deserve it, period! Not one of us deserves it!  But it is still a gift from God and He even reconciled us with Him up to to point where He gives us a further promise in this regard:  2Co 6:18  and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

From this point of view, I also know that we (all people who proclaim they are sons and daughters of God – irrespective of colour and language), should have the burden of the ministry of reconciliation between all races.  No government or law will address the problem on hand and we do have the means (Gospel of Jesus Christ) and the power (Holy Spirit) to bring peace and harmony in this country.

This is the faith that I have in the Gospel of Jesus Christ – because it is a power from God for salvation. (Rom 1:16). It is God’s power to transform people to new human beings. ( 2Co 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. )

I have seen and experienced how the Gospel changed peoples lives, their attitudes and behavior.  I have Black brothers as some of the dearest friends you can imagine – but they will also tell you it is only the grace and power of the Gospel which have changed them.

Let us stand together and work together to reach the nations with the true Gospel.  South Africa faces a massive onslaught from various Eastern cults and beliefs through the new National Government and China connections that are being forged at the very moment in time.  Unconfirmed reports states that China is sending criminals to built roads and bridges in Africa with the proviso that they may not return to China???  China is also trying to take over the world with their Yen (in opposition to the Euro) and they do not have enough space for their millions of people anymore – therefore, we do have an excellent opportunity and challenge to spread the Gospel also to them.

But then we must unite in faith and be ready and willing!
