I had the privilege to take part in a men’s breakfast yesterday at Jabez Ministries, West-Village, Krugersdorp.
What an exciting time! Thanks again to Pastor Frank and Pastor Hilton for the arrangements.
One thing that struck me was that the men of South Africa really need to stand up and take their rightful place in the home and in society. Our responsibilities as leaders of our households can not just be thrown in the wind. This does not mean that your wife should be ready to attend to your every demand. We should rather be willing to serve our families. Past Hilton also said that if we want to be leaders, we first need to be servants! This is in line with scripture where Jesus said that “If you want to be great in God’s kingdom, learn to be the servant of all.”
Pastor Hilton also shared the following Anagram on Grace with us:
G – Genuine accountability
(1 Samuel 18:1) And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
R- Right Relationships
(2 Corinthians 13:11) Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
A – a Servant/Shepherd’s Heart
(John 10:14-15) I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
C – Constant Safegaurds
(Ephesians 6:11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
E – Embrace God Intimately
(1 Timothy 4:12) Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Let us therefore be an encouragement to each other, not putting one another down but building up, edifying one another to the Glory of our Great King and Savior, Jesus Christ. His purpose was to bring us life an more ubundantly – Let us stand in that knowledge that if God is for us, who can be against us.
