Rom 4:20-25 (ESV) –  “No distrust made him (Abraham) waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.  That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.”

Abraham is considered as the father of faith as he believed God unconditionally.  The above scripture declare that he was ” fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.”   That is exactly where we need to be in our relationship with God:

  • to grow strong in our faith;
  • to be fully convinced;
    • No questions asked and no other options searched for;
    • “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Heb 11:1)
    • When we cannot help ourselves and nobody else can or is willing to do so, that is when God can specialize in the miraculous;
    • Through faith He can be God in our lives;
  • that God was able to do what He had promised”
    • I had a sticker on my car years ago:

      “God said it, I believed it. That settled it!”

History shows that God has delivered on all of His promises in the life of Abraham and many other people.  He IS still able to do the same for you and me today.  All it takes is to be fully convinced – without seeking other man-made options – that He can deliver on His promises.  Do you need peace, protection, deliverance from bondage and fear,  healing,  a new job, a breakthrough in relationships, restoration of your marriage – it does not matter what your need is today because God is able to do far beyond what you may think or even pray about. And this is a promise from the Word of God.

  • Eph 3:20 (ESV) – Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

 Apply it in your life today being fully convinced (having faith) He will come through for you. I know He will do so if you seek Him in faith : because He did it for me and still do so every day.
