According to Wikipedia, SOS is the international Morse code distress signal.  This distress signal was first adopted by the German Government from as early as April 1, 1905, and became the worldwide standard under the second International Radiotelegraphic Convention, effective on July 1, 1908.

It is commonly held that SOS is an acronym for “Save Our Ship” or “Save Our Souls” and thus often written “S.O.S.”.  Interestingly though, SOS actually stands for nothing at all.

Seeing that the SOS-signal does not mean anything else than being recognized as a distress call, we have attached it to our endeavors to react upon the distress call signal of the lost without Christ” as well as for those who are tired and broken and needs a helping hand.

People without Christ are indeed lost and in distress – even when they do not realize it yet!

Galilee Ministries and its Partners have a burden to make a difference in people’s lives and are therefore actively involved with evangelical outreaches and humanitarian support wherever the Spirit of God leads us.

On this note I would like to introduce the SOS-ministry team to you  with a short profile of each.  However, this short profile of each one cannot do enough justice to the in-depth knowledge of the Word of God and their experience in the Ministry field.  Together we form a tremendous team who are empowered through the Holy Spirit to utilize the combined knowledge, gifts and experience to:

  • Plan; Coordinate; Implement and Manage any project;
  • Support a local pastor with specific in-depth teaching from the Word of God in Spirit and in Truth;
  • Discern the specific blockages and bondages in a congregation in conjunction with the local pastor and introduce new strategies for growth – both spiritually and in quantity;
  • Establish a support network for local churches, workers, specialists and missionaries to accelerate their desired outcome;
  • Establish a safe haven for burned out pastors and leaders by ministering and re-building their faith again;
  • Identify and conduct evangelical outreaches through joint ventures with local pastors in a specific area and to bring the lost into the Kingdom of God;
  • Develop the new outreach point and plant autonomous churches, etc.
  • Distribute Bibles, Tracts, clothes, blankets and Christian literature to feed the spiritual needs of the people.
  • To provide advanced training material/courses for leaders through Binah Advanced Bible College (to teach with insight and understanding);
  • Provide regular International Leadership training seminars;

Indeed I can summarize the SOS-ministry team as follows:

  • Team work;
    • Kingdom Minded;
      • Passionate and Purpose Driven
        • Highly Committed and Competent;
          • Integrity in Ministry
            • Leadership Skills;
              • Consultation Skills
