Truth about the Sabbath – by Maggi Joubert

In Genesis 2v2, after God finished His work, He rested on the 7th day; He blessed it and sanctified it because He rested in it.  Ex 16:23, this is the 1st time the Sabbath was mentioned for man and it came 2,513yrs after God rested in Gen 2:2.  Ex20:8, This is the 2nd of 8 times and all in the Law of Moses that man was commanded to work 6 days and rest the 7th day (16:26, 20:9, 23:12, 31:15, 34:21,35:2, Lev 23:3, Deut 5:13).  The 1st of 8 times was when God first gave the Sabbath to man (16:22-26).  Continue reading Truth about the Sabbath – by Maggi Joubert

Though few of us have faced something as dramatic as this, we all need to overcome the thoughts that try to accuse us for what we have done. Hopefully, as well, this message will get to that young man and provide the encouragement he will need in this challenging time.
