As I woke up this morning the word “perfect” came into my mind. I thought for a while on this and realized God wants us to be perfect:<\/p>\n

Be ye therefore perfect<\/span>, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
\n– Mat 5:48 (KJV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0The Lord also gave us everything we need to be perfect:<\/p>\n

All scripture is<\/em> given by inspiration of God, and is<\/em> profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
\nThat the man of God may be perfect<\/span>, throughly furnished unto all good works.
\n\u00a0– \u00a02 Tim 3:16-17 (KJV)<\/p>\n

\u00a0But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect<\/span>, stablish, strengthen, settle you<\/em>.
\n\u00a0– 1 Pe 5:10<\/strong> \u00a0(KJV)<\/p>\n

\u00a0Then I realized that the Church, the body of Christ, needs to be pure and holy:<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Blessed are<\/em> the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
\n\u00a0–Mat 5:8<\/strong>\u00a0 (KJV)<\/p>\n

\u00a0Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.
\n– 1 Ti 5:22<\/strong>\u00a0 (KJV)<\/p>\n

\u00a0Sadly we miss the point in many aspects:<\/p>\n

Firstly, we make excuses and say that we are ‘just human’ and “nobody’s perfect”. We hide behind our failures and fail to see the beauty and perfect work that Christ has completed for our sake.<\/p>\n

Secondly, we miserably fail in being pure. Our thoughts, our actions, our words and our responses to people and circumstances simply show that we are impure in man aspects.<\/p>\n

\u00a0How can God then require from us these seemingly impossible things? Actually it is very simple: We need to die! When we are dead to sin, it has no power over us. \u00a0We need to die to ourselves (Figuratively speaking) and to sin and be born again into a new life:<\/p>\n

\u00a0Only when we are cleansed from sin and living a holy life can we be pure, only in Christ can we be PureFect!<\/p>\n
