{"id":2087,"date":"2012-12-11T15:32:44","date_gmt":"2012-12-11T13:32:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.galmin.co.za\/blog\/?p=2087"},"modified":"2012-12-11T15:32:44","modified_gmt":"2012-12-11T13:32:44","slug":"facing-your-fears-in-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.galmin.co.za\/?p=2087","title":{"rendered":"Facing your fears in 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>A message from Pastor Lorraine Kotze.<\/h4>\n<p>As 2013 approaches, many of us will be in one of two frames of mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We will either be excited, or fearful for the unknown!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The world itself is in a fearful situation but I would like to share an excerpt from a book by the author Robin Sharma.\u00a0 He is not a Christian but his writings are closer to the Word than many I\u2019ve read of late.<\/p>\n<p>He tells us to embrace our fears because they can hold us back and will keep us in our comfort zones and the latter is in actual fact the least safest place in which to live.\u00a0 He goes on to say that <strong><em>\u201cthe greatest risk in life is taking no risks\u201d<\/em><\/strong> he also says, and I quote:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><em>\u00a0\u201cBut every time we do that which we fear, we take back the power that fear has stolen from us, for on the other side of our fears lives our strength. Every time we step into the discomfort of growth and progress, we become more free.\u00a0 The more fears we walk through, the more power we reclaim.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The word in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>2 Tim 1:7<\/strong><\/span> says <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em>\u201cFor God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span> And in <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Phil 4:13<\/span><\/em> <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cfor I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whatever choices we make at midnight December 31<sup>st<\/sup> 2012 will echo into 2013.\u00a0 May we go in boldly, not fearfully, strong and not weak because we serve the Living God\u00a0 who is for us, not against us.<\/p>\n<p>Be blessed, strengthened and encouraged in this day and in the new year to come!<\/p>\n<div class='wp_likes' id='wp_likes_post-2087'><a class='like' href=\"javascript:wp_likes.like(2087);\" title='Like' ><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.galmin.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-likes\/images\/like.png?w=750&#038;ssl=1\" alt='' border='0'\/><\/a><span class='text'><b>2<\/b> people like this post.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class='like' ><a href=\"javascript:wp_likes.like(2087);\">Like<\/a><\/div>\n<div class='unlike' ><a href=\"javascript:wp_likes.unlike(2087);\">Unlike<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A message from Pastor Lorraine Kotze.
