It brings a sense of being set free from the situation so that you can now deal with it from a different point of view. Let me give you an example:

If you are being retrenched from your company, what benefit or good will it have for you to keep on fighting against this process?

Will the company change their criteria to suite you, or will they continue regardless of your attempts and grievances?

The choice that you make to fight the retrenchment process could end up in bitterness, self-pity, destruction and even unemployment for a long time.

But, on the other hand; acceptance releases you from the pain of the retrenchment process and enables you to refocus on the future and to find secure employment even before your retrenchment period expires. Meaning that you could have the benefit of double earnings for a few months (that is from the retrenchment package as well as from the new employment package).

So, accept the things that you cannot change

because through your acceptance

you will change quite a lot about the situation itself.

Forgive the people involved as described in the previous post. Rededicate yourself to the Lord and begin to praise and worship Him for everything in your life. Through these steps it will bring you to the next and new point where Jesus can deal with you. And this brings me back to my original scripture in Hebrews:

All these people died having faith.
