Rom 1:16-17\u00a0 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.\u00a0 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

What is righteousness?<\/p>\n

It is defined in one dictionary as: the quality of being morally right or justifiable.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It also means: goodness<\/a>, virtue<\/a>, virtuousness, uprightness<\/a>, decency<\/a>, integrity<\/a>, worthiness<\/a>, rectitude<\/a>, probity<\/a>, morality<\/a>, ethicalness, high-mindedness, justice<\/a>, honesty<\/a>, honour<\/a>, honourableness, innocence<\/a>, blamelessness, guiltlessness,<\/p>\n

If we look at it and ask the question \u2018What is God\u2019s righteousness?\u2019 then we can see God\u2019s goodness, His justice, Sis honour and all of the above.<\/p>\n

In the context of the Rom 1:16, it is then clear that the gospel reveals the attributes of God. Through the Gospel we see His goodness, virtue, justice, honor, etc!<\/p>\n

a righteous man can be trusted to act honorably regardless of the circumstances (Merriam-Webster]<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We can therefore trust God to do good, just and honorable things when we believe in the Gospel \u2013 This is the GOOD NEWS!<\/p>\n
