Perfect will of God!

In the previous message titled as “Spiritual Attack and Defend strategies”, I have dealt with the following verses according to Paul to the Colossae:

 Col 1:9  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Col 1:10  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

 Looking at this in depth, we see the following aspects that he highlights:

  • that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
  • That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,
  • being fruitful in every good work,
  •  and increasing in the knowledge of God;

 I feel the Lord is pressing it on my heart to explore this verse a little bit more, especially concerning His perfect will.  We know that when we walk in His perfect will, you can not be anything else than to please Him, to be fruitful in every good work and also increasing in the knowledge of who God is and what His will for you would be.

BUT, the question now arises: What is the perfect will of God?  Is it a general phrase or term, or is it something more specific? I would not dare to proclaim that the following insight is the only explanation for the will of God, but I am sure it would give us a pretty good picture of it.  (more…)

Watchman…Where Are You? (part 3)

“The burden of Dumah. He called to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?” (Isaiah 21:11)

Our Lord Jesus Christ did not come to this fallen world to merely start a new religion. He did not pay the bloody price on a rugged cross at the hands of the cruelest of men to create mental fodder for philosophers and theologians to thresh, ponder and debate; nor to provide well compensated employment for architects, artists, and religious orators for ages to come. He came to seek and to save that which was lost! (more…)

Watchman…Where Are You? (part 2)

“Righteousness exhalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34 ).

How long will a just God allow an outlaw spirit to run amok in His world? Lot is not one of my favorite biblical characters for several reasons, but, at least he was “vexed” at the sins of his time. Where is the vexation among the church today? We know deep in our hearts that most of us have become too attached to this world. We preach and sing values, but our fruits, our affections, and our actions say something else. (more…)

Watchman…Where Are You? (part 1)

By Bishop Samuel Smith – Chairman of AWCF
“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand” (Ezekiel 33:6).

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh when no man can work” (John 9:4).

Bible prophecy and current events appear as identical twins, walking hand in hand into the sunset. What a privilege to live in this age and be entrusted by our Lord to be His watchmen. He has honored us for it to fall on our watch to warn the world that the long night is coming. He has given us the message of eternal day. “Eternity to the godly is a day that has no sunset; eternity to the wicked is a night with no sunrise.” – Thomas Watson (more…)

On Families

Ephesians 3:14,15 says “On account of this I bend my knees to the Father, to whom every family in heaven and on earth owes its name”

Families owe to God their existence with the opportunity and privilege of bearing distinctive names. As such each family member is required to follow God’s standards..whether he is the head of the family, a mother, or children. (more…)

Spiritual Attack and Defend prayer strategies

The Church should be in a state of waiting for the return of the Lord Jesus, preparing itself through holiness, etc. but such a lot of children of God are so heavenly bound that they are earthly no good.  They are saved, baptized and ready to go and nothing else matters.  This is the wrong attitude, because if the statistics reveal that only 30% of world population is Christians, then we as children of the living God, have a massive task ahead of us to proclaim the true message of salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ.

 On a regular basis we see children of God who back slide and the church have a responsibility towards all these brothers and sisters. We cannot afford to be selfish in this regard, because we don’t get a second chance when the Lord has come to fetch His Bride.  You either make it or you don’t.  There is no such thing as a secondary chance or test to pass. The virgins in      (more…)

Michael Jackson, 1958-2009, a commentary by Bishop Samuel Smith

According to Michael Jackson’s biographer Ian Halperin, in his forthcoming book, “The Final Years of Michael Jackson,” he writes that Jackson was addicted to drugs and was homosexual. His findings are supported by exhaustive research and documentation. I am not judging Michael Jackson, he was a soul that Christ loved; but, do not judge me for commenting on the state of our culture, and born-again Christians who idolize him. Some are calling him, “The Prince of Peace.”  (more…)

(more…)
