Family Values
Martyred missionary Jim Elliot once wrote that he thanked God for a dad who “had not spent so much time rearing other people’s children that he hadn’t had time for his own.” The pressure of work can push the priority of family down the list. When we always have to be “on” at work, it’s easy to let down at home. Yet success at home has eternal value.

Principles of Great Faith.
Matthew 8:5 “Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 8:6 saying, Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.
8:7 And Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him.
8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
8:9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
8:10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”
The story of the believing centurion is probably the best example of great faith in the New Testament. Jesus was so impressed with the centurion’s faith, he remarked that he had not found such great faith in Israel — the entire Jewish nation. One might think that such faith should have emerged from one of the religious leaders of the day, such as the Scribes or Pharisees, most of whom had been students of the scriptures from their early youth. But this man was not even a Jew, but a gentile. To make matters more unique, he was a soldier in the Roman army, whose military occupation of Palestine was viewed with disdain by most Jews.
Ironic as it may seem, it isn’t always the religious leaders, ministers, or theologians who aspire toward spiritual things. (more…)

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. (Isaiah 43:1-3)
In today’s life most of the parents are struggling to have a good relationship with their child. We just don’t understand each other anymore. I have prayed to the Lord on how a relationship with a child must be, and His answer was: “Your relationship with your child must be the same as your relationship with Me – Child and Father Relationship.” (more…)

How to Get Along with People.
Remember the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you.
This simple code of behavior, when practiced, made our schools, and society, a far better place than they are today. The Golden Rule has been called the greatest principle of human relations and originated from the Bible with these words of Jesus: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets” (Matthew 7:12).
According to Jesus, two great commands serve as the foundation of all the teaching of law and the prophets (Matt. 22:37-40). The first and greatest commandment is to “love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind, and soul.” He stated that the second great command is to “love thy neighbor as thyself,” which is another reference to the Golden Rule. In other words, “love” is the act of doing unto others as we would want them to do unto us.
The Golden Rule continues to be Jesus’ expected standard of behavior by His followers.
