“Marriage” redefined

marraige031809Christian Web News – The new definition of “marriage” is the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife. It also includes “the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage.”

One commenter on the YouTube site said it’s just part of the campaign by homosexual activists to take control of the definition of the word and make it align with their goals. (more…)

Misconceptions about Christianity – “blind faith”

A rather common accusation sharply aimed at the Christian often goes like this: “You Christians are pitiful! All you have is ‘blind faith.’” This would surely indicate that the accuser seems to think that to become a Christian, one has to commit “intellectual suicide.”
Personally, “my heart cannot rejoice in what my mind rejects.” My heart and head were created to work and believe together in harmony. Christ commanded us to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind” (Matt. 22:37) (more…)

Leadership Seminar – 7 March 2009

Speaking to 16 couples and some single persons that are part of the leadership of Galilee International Ministries and other invitees, Bishop Samuel Smith, chairman of the AWCF made an urgent call for the restoration of unity in the church today. Just as Jesus prayed, “Father, that they may be one, as we are one” in John 17:17 we also need to be one in the church. (more…)
